Fellow Republicans: Will our bold move to shut down the govt. jeopardize receipt of our social security checks?

I dislike everything about our overspending Obama driven government but I sure do enjoy getting my social security checks! Would these be at risk? Could we do a carve out to protect just we tea partiers?
