Army command sponsorship denial?

In alaska ive been told that my spouse cannot be command sponsored up here due to mental health reason and since we got married up in alaska i dont qualify for compasionate reasignment. What does this truely mean how will this effect us? what can i do that there not telling me?!?!? please help (i know it means i wont recieve cola for her)
