My cat has Feline ondoclastic resorptive lesions on her upper fang. My vet told me it should be pulled.?

Can this condition spread to other teeth? Is my cat in a lot of pain? I don't have a lot of money to have the tooth removed, but I don't want her to suffer. She had this before, but the tooth fell out!
