Why do we all have different sounding voices? What determines the natural pitch of the human voice?

I know the obvious: we're all created descended from Adam and Eve and we all got different facial appearance, shape, color, due to chromosome combinations when the mother is pregnant. I know all that. Just wondering if the chromosomes are also what determines how our voices develop during growth and when we are born. How babies crying has different tone pending the individual and different people have different toned voices: some high, some low, male and female alike. Just wondering if the chromosomes and cells have anything to do with that. Like Wesley Snipes and Michael Jordan have voices that are really deep naturally, but Chris Tucker and Chris Rock have very high pitched voices. I got a deep voice, shoot! Sometimes I get mad at myself cuz I can't sing too well and I feel like I gotta shout to be heard cuz my mom be like, "I didn't hear what you said."
