How accurate are the calorie-expenditure readings on treadmills, steppers, etc...?

Basically they give you only a generalization. They only take into account your weight.....not your stride length, height, frame size. They are good for a generalization but not for specific information.

I think its pretty. Its not like those songs they play on the radio that have no story to them. This does.

Why do so many people think bio-diesel and E85 are the answers to our fuel problems?

The cost (monetary and energy expenditure) of bio-diesel and E85 is about 25% above that of petroleum based fuel sources. We're already seeing a rise in cost for corn, soy, and sunflower containing products. Do you really think that these bio fuels are the answer, or is it possible to come up with a more realistic energy source (like hydrogen) that isn't so costly in terms of energy use and destruction of biom?

I'm trying to figure out what literary thing MLK used in his "I have A dream" speech when he says that the justice they have received is like a insufficient check and stuff. what do you call that? a metaphor? simile? an ogy?

(CKC is also the Contenental Kennel Club used by puppy mills to register any breed) Make sure you know which club your breeder is a member of. Make sure you find a reputable breeder before you by a pet. DO NOT buy from a pet store ! See the puppy's parents and where they came from. go back several times before you buy a puppy. do your research!!! be an informed consumer. Get references. My breeder required them from me and gave me hers. My dogs are being shown in both AKC and UKC shows, and we have a signed contract with our breeder. Remember these pets will be with you for 10-18 years.

A werid and tricky situation.. Help?

There is this person i dated just once 2 months back. I asked her out for she flirted with me for a long time. I am positive me and her really enjoyed. Then i asked her very shortly after the first date if she would like to go out seriosly. She said she was "kinda seeing someone" and that she would like to casually go out. I took the refusal extremely well and behaved extremely calmly and said it was not a problem. I walked away.We exchanged some emails over the summer. I met her again a few weeks back and she behaved really "nicely" with me. What is all this supposed to mean? Both of us are in the same high school but this sem i got no cles with her. What do i do? I kinda like her still

American Idol Question: Is it just me, or is Paula Abdul kinda loopy?

When it's her turn to critique the idols, what the hell is she saying? She rambles on and on, not making any sense. I hate when its her turn to talk. Is she on something? It seems like she's hanging with Jack Daniels, Jose Cuervo, and Jim Beam. But c'mon, enough already. American Idol needs to replace her with a much sober judge.
